MELANCHOLIA by LARS VON TRIER

Just saw Melancholia. Not sure what to think of it. Beautiful, surely. And it is captivating. But my interest just wasn’t piqued and held as much as by Antichrist and Dogville. Trier tackled the depression theme better in Antichrist.

Also; much focus on Kirsten Dunst’s breasts.

Went to watch Melancholia by Lars Von Trier yesterday with a friend of mine.

It’s interesting how he makes the connection between the supernatural and mentally ill or insane seem so natural. It’s probably because they have 1 common element. That most human minds aren’t capable of grasping it. 

It seriously swept me off my feet, leaving me breathless. Notice the atmosphere in the cinema when you’ve watched it. Amazing. I’ve got to watch it again sometime..

In short words: Surrealism. Depression. Sorrow. Anger. 2-dimensionality. Flatness. Stillness. Slowmotion. Symbolism. Artisticness. Beautiful stillshots. Eyecandy.
